Unspoken Sonnet

Words claw their way out from these depths unknown

Seek not to be seen by sense or by shame

Some wandering fool slow-dancing alone

Eyes half open; to the music they aim

To know me, to beg me to give them life

I'm trying to see but can't without plight

My hand is grasping, my mind wields a knife

On this darker side, a flickering light

Too faint to behold, the shadow runs deep

Eyes closed; the fear, oh I feel the fire

Blinded, but I see, and this heart might leap

Stay where the unspoken turns desire

With breaths, I'm counting how long it could burn

Poetic and shaking, help me return
